About The Position

In the GAS Division, POD Machining performs tasks including milling, boring, and aligning honing machines for blocks. Associates use tools such as honing bars and calibration rods, as well as milling and seat-cutting machines for heads. They use cutters, measuring devices, and precision measuring equipment to machine parts accurately to job specifications. The position requires hand dexterity, the ability to follow specification sheets, attention to detail, and math skills. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Overtime is available on Fridays and occasional Saturdays. The work environment is climate controlled and includes access to a 24/7 onsite fitness center and medical clinic. On-the-job training is provided.

Requirements

Strong hand dexterity.
Ability to follow specification sheets.
Attention to detail and math skills.
Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand or walk for an entire shift, which may be approximately 10 hours.
Ability to use handheld tools such as hammers, drills, impact tools, and gauges.
