About The Position

JASPER is hiring Transmission Manufacturing Associates for multiple manufacturing positions at its Willow Springs, Missouri location. Roles include disassembly, subassembly, and entry-level machining. Disassembly involves taking apart transmission units, removing components, placing parts in baskets, and preparing them for washing. Subassembly involves checking parts against a bill of materials and pre-assembling and lubricating bushings and seals. Machining involves placing parts in machines and performing one or more operations. On-the-job training is provided, including a five-day JET101 training program and additional hands-on training. The work takes place in a climate-controlled environment and is performed in a fast-paced team setting.

Ability to use handheld tools, including hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, punches, and battery-powered and pneumatic drills or impacts.
Some roles require following instructions and reading and understanding a bill of materials.

Responsibilities

Disassemble transmission units by removing components such as bolts, rings, seals, snap rings, gears, and valve bodies.
Load disassembled parts into baskets and prepare them for washing.
Read and understand bills of materials and verify parts before assembly.
Pre-assemble and lubricate bushings and seals.
Place parts in machines and perform assigned machining operations.
Follow established processes and instructions while working as part of a team.
Lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials as required.
