About The Position

The PM Server works in the Food and Beverage Department at Playa Largo Resort & Spa, serving guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. The role includes taking food and beverage orders, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and food, collecting payments, and helping maintain the restaurant area and equipment. The position also supports daily operational procedures, food and beverage safety and quality, and communication among hotel staff.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Meet the minimum state age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers so they can understand.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training, such as TIPS.

Nice To Haves

• Some college.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for the clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and retrieve and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications.
• Collect payments.
• Assist in maintaining the restaurant area and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with and completion of daily Food and Beverage Department operational procedures.
• Maintain food and beverage safety and quality according to hotel, Shaner, and franchise specifications.
• Communicate with the General Manager, other Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
