About The Position

The Banquet Houseperson supports the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of banquet events while ensuring clean, welcoming event spaces that meet hotel and guest standards. The role works with the hospitality team to help create memorable guest experiences at Playa Largo Resort & Spa.

Requirements

• Familiarity with banquet room setups, such as theater, classroom, and U-shape, and with standard equipment.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper sanitation procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-first attitude.

• Prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality or events industry.
• Knowledge of local attractions and events.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down function rooms and event spaces according to group specifications and hotel standards.
• Refresh banquet rooms during events according to schedules and service expectations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of banquet equipment and service areas.
• Follow safe food and beverage handling practices in accordance with hotel, brand, and company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to provide seamless event service and support.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest needs and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Stay knowledgeable about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to assist guests with inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required by business operations.
