About The Position
Pentair is hiring a Plater for its Manitowoc, Wisconsin team. The role plates parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions to support production schedules and meet customer quality expectations. The Plater operates plating equipment and a computer, tests and controls the plating process, inspects parts, and helps maintain the work area. This position is scheduled for third shift, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.; hours may vary slightly, and overtime may be required based on operational needs.
Requirements
- Manually lift parts weighing up to 41 pounds to and from conveyors and racks.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions, and standards.
- Operate the plating robot and controller, and use a computer to perform daily job functions.
- Read and use measuring equipment and perform chemical testing.
- Test, analyze, and control the plating process according to standards, including measuring plating thickness.
- Label each evaporator to indicate its plating origin.
- Inspect parts visually and using corrosive chemicals.
- Inspect parts before and after plating.
- Clean up the general work area.
- Operate a pallet jack.
- Use various hand tools.
