About The Position

Teledyne Relays is seeking a Plating Technician to support precision manufacturing for advanced switching solutions. The role maintains production requirements and quality standards by performing plating and cleaning operations, maintaining chemical baths, and following safety procedures. Duties include plating and cleaning components to process specifications; preparing acid and alkaline solutions; maintaining rinse waters and process bath levels; documenting process conditions and chemical usage; inspecting work; maintaining equipment; and reporting issues to the process control lab and supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence.
Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using micrometers, microscopes, and basic computer applications.
Must be a U.S. Person, including a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

Plate and clean components according to process specifications, including degreasing and header, cover, and diode cleaning lines.
Prepare acid and alkaline solutions and maintain rinse waters daily.
Monitor and maintain process bath levels while following safety procedures.
Perform housekeeping and administrative tasks, including maintaining temperature, filter, and chemical-usage logs.
Report issues to the process control lab and supervisor.
Inspect work for compliance with quality and customer specifications.
Use micrometers, microscopes, and computers for measurements and documentation.
Perform equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean.
