About The Position

The PIT Operator operates powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to move products, equipment, and materials, and supports warehouse receiving, loading, unloading, and inventory logistics. The role uses handheld scanners accurately, follows GXO’s 7S program and quality policy, and maintains a clean work environment with a focus on safety, quality, process excellence, and efficiency. The operator may also support special projects and collaborate with warehouse operations, procurement, and other teams. The position is based in Richmond and pays $19.75 per hour at the time of posting. GXO offers eligible employees paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k), and other benefits.

Requirements

• Be trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently and more than 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Be able to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
• Be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
• Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods.
• Be able to handle or manage tools or equipment.
• Be able to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of warehouse experience.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, or move products, equipment, and materials.
• Use a handheld scanner with a high degree of accuracy.
• Load and unload trailers as needed.
• Follow the 7S program and maintain a clean environment.
• Demonstrate commitment to process excellence and understanding of the Supply Chain quality policy.
• Perform inbound receiving processes.
• Complete other assigned duties with consideration for quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Support special projects or initiatives as directed by management.
• Collaborate with warehouse operations, procurement, and other support teams to fulfill inventory and logistics needs.
