About The Position

Rowan’s Piercing Studio Nurse reports to the Studio Manager and provides a safe, clean, and joyful ear-piercing experience. The nurse applies clinical expertise and Rowan’s Clinical Piercing Standards to perform precise piercings while creating a celebratory, reassuring customer experience. The role includes customer education and styling guidance, infection prevention, maintaining sterile work areas and equipment, supporting studio operations and inventory, and contributing to sales and studio performance metrics. Nurses may also mentor and train new nurses. The schedule is flexible and may include coverage for shifts as needed, holidays, and weekends.

Requirements

Active RN or LPN/LVN license.

Responsibilities

Create memorable customer experiences that combine clinical care with a celebratory atmosphere.
Ensure customers’ safety and comfort and maintain a smooth flow of customer care.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers throughout the piercing experience, easing concerns and building confidence.
Educate customers on aftercare and Rowan After Care to support healing and well-being.
Evaluate customers’ ears to recommend suitable earring placement and provide personalized styling advice.
Monitor the customer experience and resolve issues promptly while maintaining Rowan’s clinical piercing standards.
Maintain a sterile and aseptic nurse station and procedure tray; clean and sanitize surfaces, instruments, and supplies to prevent contamination.
Apply knowledge of skin care and infection control and prevention to provide professional, personalized piercing services.
Collaborate with the Studio Manager to support smooth operations and a joyful studio atmosphere; fill shifts as needed.
Mentor and train new nurses, when needed, on Rowan’s Clinical Piercing Standards, piercing services, and customer interactions.
Report issues that could affect the customer experience and collaborate with management to resolve them.
Keep piercing stations, including the nurse cart, mayo stand, and nurse nook, stocked and ready for customer needs.
Sterilize jewelry and needle-piercing instruments.
Follow state, federal, and CDC guidelines for sanitary and safe piercing services.
Support studio metrics, including revenue growth, piercing-service efficiency, average order value, and sales.
Educate customers about Rowan After Care and the benefits of purchasing an extra pair of hypoallergenic, non-piercing jewelry to promote healing.
Address and escalate operational concerns promptly and communicate clearly with management and team members.

Compensation of $28–$53 per hour, consisting of a $28 base wage plus an estimated $25 per hour in tips once fully trained.
