About The Position

Rowan’s Piercing Studio Nurse reports to the Studio Manager and provides a safe, clean, and joyful ear-piercing experience. The nurse uses clinical expertise to perform precise piercings, build customer trust, and make each piercing a comfortable and memorable milestone. Rowan’s services follow its Clinical Piercing Standard and use hypoallergenic products. The role combines clinical care, customer service, studio support, inventory and sterilization, and sales-related education. The nurse helps maintain a sterile environment, follows applicable state, federal, and CDC guidelines, and works with studio management and teammates to resolve operational issues and support a celebratory customer experience.

Requirements

Active RN or LPN/LVN license.
Professional and engaging approach to customer care.

Responsibilities

Provide professional clinical care and create celebratory, memorable customer experiences during piercing sessions.
Ensure customer safety and comfort and maintain a smooth flow of care.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients throughout their piercing experience, addressing concerns and helping them feel comfortable.
Educate customers about aftercare and Rowan After Care to support healing and well-being.
Evaluate ears to determine appropriate earring placement and offer personalized styling advice.
Monitor the customer experience and promptly address issues while maintaining Rowan’s clinical piercing standards.
Maintain a sterile and aseptic nurse station and procedure tray; clean and sanitize surfaces, instruments, and supplies to prevent contamination.
Use knowledge of skin care and infection control and prevention to provide personalized piercing services.
Collaborate with the Studio Manager to support smooth operations and a joyful studio atmosphere.
Fill shifts as needed and maintain a flexible schedule.
May mentor and train new nurses on Rowan’s Clinical Piercing Standards, including shadowing services and observing customer interactions.
Monitor issues that could affect the customer experience and report them promptly to management, collaborating on solutions.
Keep piercing stations, including the nurse cart, mayo stand, and nurse nook, stocked and ready for customer needs.
Sterilize jewelry and needle-piercing instruments.
Follow state, federal, and CDC guidelines for sanitary and safe piercing services.
Support studio metrics through efficient piercing services, revenue growth, increased average order value, and sales.
Educate customers about Rowan After Care and the benefits of purchasing an extra pair of hypoallergenic, non-piercing jewelry to promote healing.
Address and escalate operational concerns promptly, communicating clearly with management and team members.

$28 per hour base wage, with estimated tips of $25 per hour once fully trained; tips are customer-provided, not guaranteed, and may vary by location.
