About The Position

Rowan is hiring a Piercing Studio Nurse to provide safe, clinical ear-piercing services in a celebratory retail studio environment. The nurse delivers personalized customer care, evaluates ears and recommends piercing placement, explains aftercare, and maintains sterile and aseptic conditions in accordance with Rowan's Clinical Piercing Standards and applicable state, federal, and CDC guidelines. The role also supports studio operations, inventory readiness, customer experience, and sales goals, and may include mentoring and training new nurses. The position is open to nurses at all experience levels, including newly licensed nurses.

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license.
• Must be eligible to obtain or already possess a body art license or registration as required by applicable state and local laws.
• Professional and engaging approach to customer care.

Responsibilities

• Create memorable customer experiences by combining clinical care with a celebratory atmosphere during piercing sessions.
• Ensure customers' safety and comfort and maintain a smooth flow of care.
• Communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with clients throughout the piercing experience.
• Help customers feel comfortable and address their concerns.
• Educate customers on aftercare and Rowan After Care to support healing and well-being.
• Evaluate customers' ears to identify suitable earring placement and provide personalized styling advice.
• Monitor the customer experience and promptly address issues while maintaining Rowan's clinical piercing standards.
• Maintain a sterile and aseptic nurse station and procedure tray; clean and sanitize surfaces, instruments, and supplies to prevent contamination.
• Use knowledge of skin care and infection control and prevention to provide personalized piercing services.
• Collaborate with the Studio Manager to support smooth operations and a joyful studio atmosphere.
• Fill shifts as needed and maintain scheduling flexibility.
• May mentor and train new nurses on Rowan's Clinical Piercing Standards, including shadowing services and observing customer interactions.
• Report issues that may affect the customer experience to management and collaborate on resolving them.
• Keep piercing stations, including the nurse cart, mayo stand, and nurse nook, stocked and ready for customer needs.
• Sterilize jewelry and needle-piercing instruments.
• Follow state, federal, and CDC guidelines to ensure sanitary and safe piercing services.
• Support studio metrics, including revenue growth, piercing-service efficiency, average order value, and sales.
• Educate customers about Rowan After Care and the benefits of purchasing an additional pair of hypoallergenic, non-piercing jewelry to promote healing.
• Address and escalate operational concerns promptly, communicating with management and team members to implement solutions.
