About The Position

Rowan’s Piercing Studio Nurse reports to the Studio Manager and provides a safe, clean, and celebratory ear-piercing experience. The nurse applies clinical expertise and Rowan’s Clinical Piercing Standards to perform precise piercings, build customer trust, and make each appointment comfortable and memorable.

The role combines clinical piercing services, customer education and care, studio support, inventory and instrument sterilization, and retail sales. Nurses maintain a sterile environment, follow applicable state, federal, and CDC guidelines, and contribute to a welcoming studio experience. The position may also include mentoring and training new nurses.

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license.
• Eligible to obtain or already possess a body art license or registration as required by applicable state and local laws.
• Professional, engaging approach to customer care.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, precise ear-piercing services while creating a celebratory and memorable customer experience.
• Ensure customers’ safety and comfort and maintain a smooth flow of care.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients throughout the piercing experience and help ease their concerns.
• Educate customers on aftercare and Rowan After Care to support healing and well-being.
• Evaluate customers’ ears to determine suitable earring placement and provide personalized styling advice.
• Monitor the customer experience, resolve issues promptly, and uphold Rowan’s clinical piercing standards.
• Maintain a sterile and aseptic nurse station and procedure tray; clean and sanitize surfaces, instruments, and supplies.
• Apply knowledge of skin care and infection prevention to provide professional, personalized piercing services.
• Collaborate with the Studio Manager and team to support smooth operations and a joyful studio atmosphere.
• Fill shifts as needed and, when required, mentor and train new nurses through shadowing and observation.
• Report issues that may affect the customer experience and collaborate with management to resolve them.
• Keep piercing stations and related areas stocked and ready for customer needs.
• Sterilize jewelry and needle-piercing instruments.
• Follow state, federal, and CDC guidelines for sanitary and safe piercing services.
• Support studio metrics through efficient piercing services, revenue growth, and increased average order value.
• Educate customers about Rowan After Care and the benefits of purchasing an extra pair of hypoallergenic non-piercing jewelry.
• Escalate operational concerns and communicate clearly with management and team members.
