About The Position

Rowan’s Piercing Studio Nurse provides a safe, clean, and joyful ear-piercing experience. Reporting to the Studio Manager, the nurse uses clinical expertise to perform precise piercings, build trust with customers, and make each piercing a memorable milestone. The role combines clinical care and infection prevention with customer education, personalized styling guidance, and support for a celebratory retail experience. The nurse maintains a sterile work area, sanitizes and sterilizes instruments and jewelry, follows applicable state, federal, and CDC guidelines, and keeps piercing stations stocked. The role also supports studio operations, communicates issues to management, may mentor and train new nurses, and contributes to studio sales and service metrics. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Requirements

Active RN or LPN/LVN license.
Professional and engaging approach to customer care.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, precise ear-piercing services and create a welcoming, celebratory customer experience.
Ensure customer safety and comfort, communicate clearly throughout the piercing experience, and help ease customer concerns.
Evaluate customers’ ears to recommend suitable earring placement and provide personalized styling advice.
Educate customers about aftercare and Rowan After Care to support healing and well-being.
Monitor the customer experience, promptly address concerns, and uphold Rowan’s clinical piercing standards.
Maintain a sterile and aseptic nurse station and procedure tray; clean and sanitize surfaces, instruments, and supplies.
Apply knowledge of skin care and infection control and prevention when providing piercing services.
Collaborate with the Studio Manager to support smooth operations and a joyful studio atmosphere; fill shifts as needed.
May mentor and train new nurses on Rowan’s Clinical Piercing Standards, including through shadowing and observation.
Report customer-experience or operational issues to management and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
Keep piercing stations and related areas, including the nurse cart, mayo stand, and nurse nook, stocked and ready.
Sterilize jewelry and needle-piercing instruments.
Follow state, federal, and CDC guidelines to ensure sanitary and safe services.
Support studio metrics, including revenue growth, piercing-service efficiency, average order value, and sales.
Educate customers on Rowan After Care and the benefits of purchasing an extra pair of hypoallergenic, non-piercing jewelry to promote healing.
Escalate operational concerns and communicate clearly with management and team members to implement solutions.

$28 per hour base wage, plus estimated tips of $25 per hour once fully trained; tips are customer-provided, not guaranteed, and may vary by location.
