About The Position

Astrid & Miyu is hiring a Piercer for its new Williamsburg, NYC location, opening in autumn. The Piercer will help customers create their desired jewellery curations by combining piercing expertise, artistry, and thoughtful customer care. The role includes maintaining a clean, hygienic studio and managing piercing supplies, advising customers on styling, performing precise piercings, and supporting the team on the shop floor. The studio uses disposable, aseptic setups and premium implant-grade jewellery, including internally threaded titanium, 14ct solid gold, lab-grown diamonds, and semi-precious stones. The company follows APP standards and supports ongoing learning and professional development. Hours are flexible; applicants are invited to share what schedule they are looking for. Compensation is $31 per hour plus commission and tips.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a piercer in a studio.
• Resonate deeply with the company’s values and act as a brand ambassador.
• Demonstrate positivity and enthusiasm and inspire people around you.
• Remain grounded during difficult or sensitive interactions and lead with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of studio cleanliness and hygiene, championing safety and excellence.
• Proactively manage and maintain piercing supplies to a high standard.
• Provide styling advice and perform precise, aesthetic piercings with attention to detail.
• Create a warm and intentional customer experience in which each person feels seen, valued, and cared for.
• Show empathy and compassion when supporting customers in sensitive moments.
• Share piercing expertise and enthusiasm with customers and teammates on the shop floor, building trust and elevating the team’s energy.
