About The Position

Astrid & Miyu is hiring a Piercer for its new Williamsburg, NYC location. The role focuses on helping customers create jewellery and piercing curations through expert guidance, artistry, and attentive service. The Piercer will deliver precise, aesthetic piercings, provide styling advice, maintain a safe and hygienic studio, and contribute to a welcoming community experience. The studio uses disposable, aseptic setups and premium implant-grade jewellery, including internally threaded titanium, 14ct solid gold, lab-grown diamonds, and semi-precious stones. The company follows APP standards and supports ongoing learning and professional development. Hours are flexible; candidates should indicate what schedule they are looking for. Compensation is $31 per hour, plus commission and tips.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a piercer in a studio.
Resonance with the company’s values and ability to act as a brand ambassador.
Positivity and enthusiasm, with the ability to inspire others.
Ability to remain grounded and empathetic during difficult or sensitive interactions.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of studio cleanliness and hygiene, championing safety and excellence.
Proactively manage and maintain piercing supplies to a high standard.
Provide styling advice and perform precise, aesthetic piercings with attention to detail.
Create a warm, intentional customer experience in which each person feels seen, valued, and cared for.
Respond with empathy and compassion, particularly during sensitive interactions.
Lead on the shop floor by sharing piercing expertise and enthusiasm with customers and team members.
Help build a community around piercing and jewellery and support customers in bringing their desired curations to life.
