About The Position

Studs is hiring Apprentices for a minimum six-week paid piercing training program. Training begins at one of the company’s studio locations and includes classroom-style learning, observation, and hands-on training. Studs pays apprentices $19 per hour, plus tips, during training. After successful completion, graduates become eligible for Part-Time or Full-Time Associate Piercer positions at the Lovers Lane studio, where the stated rate is $24 per hour, plus tips. Travel to a studio location for the duration of training is paid by Studs. The role combines client service and brand representation with piercing operations, safety, compliance, and record keeping. Apprentices are expected to provide a welcoming, professional client experience, learn and follow piercing procedures and regulations, maintain detailed records, and contribute to a feedback-oriented, accountable studio environment. The posting describes requirements and schedules for both potential Full-Time and Part-Time Associate Piercer roles following the apprenticeship.

Requirements

Three years of relevant work experience.
Ability to visually inspect ear anatomy to perform advanced piercings.
Ability to perform piercings with a steady hand.
Ability to lift 20 pounds.
Ability to handle chemicals safely.
Travel to a Studs studio location for the duration of the training program.
Driven, creative problem-solving approach; consistently acts with integrity and speaks up.
Owner’s mindset and a positive attitude toward feedback and problems.
For Full-Time positions: availability for a flexible schedule up to five days per week (32+ hours), including evenings, weekends, and holidays; consistent availability; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability; and prioritization of Studs as the primary employment commitment. Schedules may vary based on business needs.
For Part-Time positions: availability for a flexible schedule of varying days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; availability at least four days per week, including Saturday and Sunday; and ability to reliably attend scheduled work for up to 29 hours per week, subject to local laws and approved accommodations.

Responsibilities

Educate clients about the Studs experience through the selling cycle and act as a brand ambassador.
Communicate confidently, clearly, and professionally with clients throughout their experience.
Meet and exceed performance expectations while providing service-oriented client care.
Learn and follow piercing operating procedures and regulations to meet client-experience and work-safety standards.
Use Studs’ resources and policies when making decisions.
Keep consistent, detailed records of maintenance, sterilized inventory, and tools.
Prioritize studio compliance and follow standard operating procedures and company policies.
Provide best-in-class service to everyone in the studio.
Escalate when help is needed, acknowledge mistakes, and give and receive feedback constructively.
Complete at least 18 piercing appointments per day.
