About The Position

Studs is an ear piercing and earring brand that combines piercing, aftercare, and earring shopping into an Earscaping® experience. Apprentices complete a minimum six-week paid piercing training program that includes classroom-style learning, observation, and hands-on training. The first six weeks take place at one of Studs’ studio locations. After successful completion, graduates become eligible for part-time or full-time Associate Piercer positions at the Lovers Lane studio. Apprentices earn $19 per hour plus tips during training; graduated apprentices earn $24 per hour plus tips as Associate Piercers.

The role involves delivering a safe, welcoming, service-oriented client experience; educating clients about Studs and its offerings; following piercing procedures and regulations; maintaining accurate records for maintenance, sterilized inventory, and tools; and upholding studio policies and company values. The position requires schedule flexibility, weekend availability, and the physical and practical ability to perform piercing duties.

Requirements

• Three years of relevant work experience.
• Must be able to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings.
• Must be able to deliver piercings with a steady hand.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
• Must be able to handle chemicals safely.
• Must travel to one of Studs’ studio locations for the duration of the training program; travel is paid by Studs.
• Driven, creative problem solver who consistently acts with integrity and speaks up.
• Owner’s mindset and ability to approach feedback and problems with a positive attitude.
• Full-time schedule: availability for a flexible schedule up to five days per week (32 or more hours), including evenings, weekends, and holidays; consistent availability; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability required except for approved PTO. Schedules may vary based on business needs, and full-time employees are expected to prioritize Studs as their primary employment commitment.
• Part-time schedule: availability for varying days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; at least four days of availability, including Saturday and Sunday, except approved unscheduled time away; reliable attendance for up to 29 hours per week, in line with local laws and subject to approved accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients about the Studs experience through the selling cycle and serve as a brand ambassador.
• Communicate confidently, clearly, and professionally with clients throughout their experience.
• Meet and exceed performance expectations while providing service-oriented care.
• Use Studs’ resources and policies to support decision-making.
• Learn and follow piercing operating procedures and regulations to meet client experience and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain consistent, detailed records of maintenance, sterilized inventory, and tools.
• Follow studio compliance requirements, standard operating procedures, and company policies.
• Acknowledge mistakes and escalate when help is needed.
• Live out Studs’ Core Values and provide consistent, high-quality service to everyone in the studio.
• Offer solutions-oriented feedback and remain open to receiving feedback.
• Pierce a minimum of 18 appointments per day.
