About The Position

Studs is hiring Apprentices for a minimum six-week paid piercing training program. Training includes classroom-style learning, observation, and hands-on practice, and begins at one of the company’s studio locations. Travel to a studio location for the duration of training is paid by Studs. After successfully completing the program, graduates become eligible for Part-Time or Full-Time Associate Piercer positions at the Miami Studio. During training, Apprentices earn $19 per hour plus tips; graduated apprentices earn $24 per hour plus tips as Associate Piercers.

The role combines client service and brand representation with learning and following piercing procedures, regulations, safety standards, and studio policies. Apprentices are expected to deliver professional client communication, maintain detailed records, uphold compliance and company values, and give and receive feedback constructively. The posting lists availability and workload expectations for both potential Full-Time and Part-Time roles after training.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings.
• Ability to deliver piercings with a steady hand.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• Ability to handle chemicals safely.
• Ability to travel to one of Studs’ studio locations for the duration of the training program.
• Driven, creative problem solver who consistently acts with integrity and speaks up.

• For the potential Full-Time role: availability for a flexible schedule up to 5 days per week and 32 or more hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; consistent availability; and availability Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, excluding approved PTO. Schedules may vary based on business needs, and Full-Time employees are expected to prioritize Studs as their primary employment commitment.
• For the potential Part-Time role: availability for a flexible schedule of varying days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; at least 4 days of availability including Saturday and Sunday; and reliable attendance for scheduled work up to 29 hours per week, subject to local laws and approved accommodations.
• Must pierce a minimum of 18 appointments per day.

Responsibilities

• Represent Studs and explain its client experience throughout the selling cycle.
• Provide confident, clear, and professional communication to clients throughout their Studs experience.
• Meet and exceed performance expectations in a service-oriented environment.
• Learn and follow piercing operating procedures and regulations to meet client experience and work-safety standards.
• Use Studs’ resources and policies when making decisions.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, sterilized inventory, and tools.
• Prioritize studio compliance and follow standard operating procedures and company policies.
• Provide consistent, high-quality service to everyone in the studio.
• Acknowledge mistakes and escalate when assistance is needed.
• Provide solutions-oriented feedback and remain open to receiving feedback.
• Complete the piercing training program, including classroom-style learning, observation, and hands-on training.
