About The Position

Studs is hiring Apprentices to complete a minimum six-week paid piercing training program. Training includes classroom-style learning, observation, and hands-on practice, and takes place at one of Studs’ studio locations. Studs pays for travel to the training location. During training, apprentices earn $19 per hour plus tips. After successfully completing the program, graduates become eligible for Part-Time or Full-Time Associate Piercer positions at the Miami Studio, earning $24 per hour plus tips. The role develops piercing skills while supporting a safe, welcoming client experience. Apprentices learn Studs’ piercing procedures and regulations, promote the brand’s services and products, communicate professionally with clients, maintain sterilized inventory and tools, and follow studio policies and standards. The eventual Associate Piercer role requires the ability to perform a minimum of 18 appointments per day and execute advanced piercings.

Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, according to the selected Full-Time or Part-Time schedule.
Full-Time availability: up to 5 days per week (32 or more hours), with consistent availability and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability required, excluding approved PTO. Full-Time employees are expected to prioritize Studs as their primary employment commitment.
Part-Time availability: varying days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; at least 4 days of availability including Saturday and Sunday, excluding approved unscheduled time away; and reliable attendance for up to 29 hours per week, subject to local laws and approved accommodations.
Ability to perform a minimum of 18 piercing appointments per day.
Ability to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings.
Steady hand sufficient to deliver piercings.
Ability to lift 20 lbs.
Ability to handle chemicals safely.
Ability to travel to a Studs studio location for the duration of the training program.

Educate clients about the Studs experience and represent the brand through its selling cycle.
Communicate confidently, clearly, and professionally with clients throughout their experience.
Meet and exceed performance expectations while providing service-oriented support.
Learn and follow piercing procedures and regulations to meet client-experience and workplace-safety standards.
Use Studs’ resources and policies when making decisions.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance, sterilized inventory, and tools.
Follow studio compliance requirements, standard operating procedures, and company policies.
Escalate when assistance is needed, acknowledge mistakes, and provide solutions-oriented feedback while remaining open to feedback.
