About The Position

The PIC directs and coordinates store operations in the absence of the Store Director, Assistant Store Director, or other management. The role helps ensure efficient and economical operations and that associates’ work shifts support the store’s financial interests. The PIC may also perform other assigned duties in a timely manner. The position works in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

High school diploma preferred.
One year of retail or related experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
Basic mathematical skills.
Suggestive selling and product knowledge.
Attention to detail.
May need to lift or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

Responsibilities

Monitor associates’ adherence to company policies.
Operate the cashier register and courtesy counter desk, and handle customer concerns efficiently.
Know the store layout and the locations of safety and emergency equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of all areas and provide feedback to department managers.
Maintain the time clock in the absence of the Store Director or specified department manager.
Close the store when assigned, including locking doors, turning off lights, and arming the store.
Know product locations to assist customers.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked store.
Follow PPE and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments as needed to support customer experience.
Complete other assigned responsibilities in a timely manner.
