About The Position

The Physician Clinic Medical Director provides direct patient care at a Concentra clinic, leading by example and supporting an exceptional patient experience. Most time is spent clinically treating patients, with the remaining time focused on quality improvements and growing the center’s business with the Center Leadership Team. The role combines patient care with medical and operational leadership in occupational health. The Medical Director leads day-to-day execution of the medical model, collaborates with therapists and specialists to support clinical outcomes and case closure, manages clinicians and support staff, and helps ensure appropriate staffing. The position also supports clinic improvement, client and payer relationships, budget awareness, and the development of a professional, collaborative, safe, and quality-focused work environment. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The role offers a base salary of $229,000 to $280,000, depending on job-related factors, plus a $50,000 bonus opportunity and eligibility for monthly and quarterly bonuses. Requirements

Active and unrestricted medical license.
Unrestricted DEA license and dispensing license for the state of jurisdiction, required before the start date.
Must be eligible to participate in Medicare.

Nice To Haves

Board certification or eligibility in an ABMS- or AOA-recognized specialty.
FMCSA NRCME certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and lead by example to create an exceptional patient experience.

Manage clinicians and support staff and comply with APC supervisory requirements.
Create a professional and collaborative working environment.
