About The Position

Concentra’s clinic-based Physician Clinic Medical Director spends most of their time providing direct patient care, with the remaining time focused on quality improvement and developing the center’s business alongside the Center Leadership Team. The role combines clinical practice with management responsibilities at a leading workplace health organization. The Medical Director leads by example to create an exceptional patient experience and helps ensure the day-to-day execution of the medical model, collaborating with therapists and specialists to support optimal clinical outcomes and case closure.

The position includes managing clinicians and support staff, maintaining relationships with center clients and payers, contributing to staffing and budget decisions, and fostering a professional, safe, collaborative environment focused on quality and continuous improvement. The role requires access to confidential and critical information and ongoing discretion and secure information management. An eligible candidate may receive a $20,000 bonus.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted medical license.
• Unrestricted DEA license and dispensing license for the state of jurisdiction, required before the start date.
• Must be eligible to participate in Medicare.

Nice To Haves

• Board Certification or Eligibility in an ABMS- or AOA-recognized specialty.
• FMCSA NRCME certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and lead by example to create an exceptional patient experience.
• Lead healthcare management to ensure day-to-day execution of the medical model, collaborating with therapists and specialists to drive optimal clinical outcomes and case closure.
• Manage clinicians and support staff, and comply with APC supervisory requirements.
• Create a professional and collaborative working environment.
• Work with leaders to identify and implement changes that support continuous medical clinic improvement.
• Maintain relationships with center clients and payers.
• Work with the medical clinic leadership team to manage clinical and support staffing levels.
• Promote, cultivate, and exemplify Concentra values for clinic colleagues.
• Foster collaboration, professionalism, patient and colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement, and reward and recognition.
• Demonstrate financial awareness and provide input on the clinic budget and key business metrics.
• Maintain discretion and secure management of confidential and critical information.
