About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is hiring a Physician Assistant in Pediatrics at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The position is assigned to Labor & Delivery (L&D), the Mother-Baby Unit, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Physician Assistant works under the supervision of an Attending Physician and collaborates closely with Resident Physicians and Attending Physicians/Neonatologists assigned to the unit.

PAGNY provides services at NYC Health + Hospitals, the nation’s largest municipal health care delivery system. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus that includes the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital and the Health & Wellness Institute. The hospital has academic affiliations with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. Requirements

• Current New York State Physician Assistant registration.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including procedures and blood draws.
• Attend deliveries.
• Conduct daily patient assessments and implement daily patient care plans.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Collaborate with Social Services and Nursing staff.
• Attend discharge planning meetings.
