About The Position
The Physician Assistant provides healthcare services under the direction and supervision of a New Jersey-licensed attending physician at University Hospital. The position examines patients on the Inpatient General Medicine Service, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and physical examination results. The Physician Assistant practices ethically and in accordance with standards of care for Physician Assistants.
Requirements
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Health Science or a related field; the credential section specifies a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Graduation from a Physician Assistant program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Certification from the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- New Jersey license from the State Board of Medical Examiners, Physician Assistant Advisory Committee.

- Prior experience in clinical medicine is preferred.
