Physician Assistant - Per Diem
About The Position
Memorial Hermann - GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced physician assistants for per diem work at its North Region centers. Providers treat adult and pediatric patients and deliver clinical care for acute episodic conditions, including sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. They use assessment skills to identify more serious conditions and direct patients to the emergency room when advanced care is needed, while providing a high-quality patient experience. Centers are described as state-of-the-art, patient-friendly, and equipped with imaging and labs. The role offers autonomy along with mentoring and support when needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of full-time experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
- Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
- Bachelor's degree required for physician assistants.
- National certification.
- Active state medical licensure.
- Comfort with minor procedures, reading EKGs, and reading X-rays.

Responsibilities
- Treat adult and pediatric patients with acute episodic conditions.
- Assess patients and recognize more serious conditions that require referral to the emergency room.
- Perform minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints.
- Read EKGs and X-rays.
