About The Position

Memorial Hermann - GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced per diem Physician Assistants for its North Region centers. Providers treat adult and pediatric patients and deliver care for acute episodic conditions, including sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. The role requires strong assessment skills to identify more serious conditions and direct patients to the emergency room for advanced care when needed, while providing an exceptional patient experience. Providers work in patient-friendly, state-of-the-art centers equipped with imaging and labs, with autonomy as well as mentoring and support. The organization describes its focus on quality care and notes that its locations are accredited by the Urgent Care Association for certification, quality, and safety standards.

Requirements

At least 2 years of full-time experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
Comfort with minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints, and with reading EKGs and X-rays.
Bachelor's degree.
National certification.
Active state medical licensure.

Responsibilities
