About The Position

SSM Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical and SSM Health, is hiring a Physical Therapist at its Lake St. Louis location for a full-time Weekend Option position. The hospital provides advanced treatment and comprehensive care for people facing brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Its mission is to provide an exceptional patient care experience that promotes healing and recovery in a compassionate environment. The position supports patients’ medical, physical, emotional, and vocational needs. Therapists have access to clinical ladders, Virtualis Virtual Reality, an Ekso NR exoskeleton, and an outdoor ambulatory track.

Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Certified BLS, or completion of BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction.
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
Design functional treatment programs that support an effective return to community activities.
Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself.
Perform other professional duties associated with patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery.
