About The Position

SSM Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical and SSM Health, is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist for its weekend option in Lake St. Louis. The hospital provides rehabilitation care for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The role focuses on delivering advanced treatment and comprehensive, compassionate care that addresses patients’ medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges. The Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction. The therapist directs discipline-specific therapy services, designs functional treatment programs to support patients’ return to community activities, and educates patients, families, students, and coworkers. The role also includes other professional duties related to patient care and development and delivery of therapy services.

Requirements

Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility for state licensure.
Certified BLS, or completion of BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
Design functional treatment programs that support an effective return to community activities.
Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself.
Perform other professional duties associated with patient care and the development and delivery of discipline-specific therapy services.
