About The Position

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children’s Inpatient Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Weekend Option (Pool) Physical Therapist, primarily to supplement weekend staffing. The Physical Therapist provides services to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities for patients with injuries or disease. The role works with patients and clients to restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and wellness for healthier, more active lifestyles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an approved physical therapy program.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida; a temporary permit is acceptable.
• Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using information from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings when available, family and significant others, and other data sources.
• Develop treatment plans that integrate with the continuum of care, set specific goals and objectives, and provide treatment accordingly.
• Demonstrate competency in using, caring for, and maintaining profession-specific equipment; observe safety precautions and explain the equipment and its purpose.
• Re-evaluate patients and modify treatment plans and goals when appropriate.
• Recognize and communicate when a patient has received optimal benefit from physical therapy.
• Adhere to the State Practice Act and Standards of Practice.
• Ensure complete documentation and accurate billing.
• Maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
