About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Physical Therapist in King City, California, starting on 08/24/2026 for a 13-week term. The role is based in a short-term acute care hospital setting and involves both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation duties. The Physical Therapist will collaborate with nursing, physicians, and therapy staff to support patient-centered recovery across the care continuum.

Requirements

Active Physical Therapist license in California or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient PT settings (50/50 workload) as described.
Ability to work a rotating schedule including weekends; 40 hours per week guaranteed.
Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel and commit to a 13-week assignment in King City.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial PT evaluations for inpatients and outpatients in a hospital-based setting, with a workload split approximately 50/50.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals; adjust as needed based on patient progress.
Deliver PT interventions including therapeutic exercises, gait training, manual therapy, and modalities as appropriate.
Document patient progress accurately in the medical record; communicate with physicians and the broader care team; participate in rounds as required.
Plan and execute discharge planning; provide patient and caregiver education and home exercise programs to support continued recovery.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, adherence to protocols, and optimal patient outcomes.
