About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Physical Therapist in Fort Bragg, California. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 08/31/2026, with guaranteed 40 hours per week on a 5x8 day shift schedule. The work setting is a critical access hospital. The role involves conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, delivering interventions, monitoring progress, establishing discharge plans, supervising aides, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree; required, with note: license eligibility rules apply (only if licensure obtained after January 2016 or foreign equivalent)
Active Physical Therapy license in the state of practice (California) required
Current CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor
Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience preferred
Ability to work in a hospital setting, including inpatient and outpatient services
Willingness to work a day-shift schedule on a 5x8 rotation

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations to determine functional status and needs
Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans
Deliver therapy interventions using evidence-based techniques
Monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes
Establish discharge plans and communicate care goals to patients and team
Supervise assigned aides and maintain accurate clinical documentation within deadlines
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes in inpatient and outpatient settings
