About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide care to a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The role involves direct patient care and the planning and implementation of individualized treatment programs according to Physical Therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health System. The PTA works under the direction of a Physical Therapist and may contribute to further development of services. Flexibility to meet the needs of the system across different facilities is required. Prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment and desire to learn is sought. The position is full-time, day shift, at Covington Rehab/LTACH.
Requirements
- Hold a PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Hold current BLS certification.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to Physical Therapy principles and practices in the PAM Health System.
- Participate in the further development of services.
- Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
