About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide care to its diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA is primarily responsible for direct patient care and for planning and implementing individual treatment programs according to Physical Therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health System. The role also contributes to further development of the services and requires flexibility to meet system needs across different facilities. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcomed, as is a commitment to learn.
Requirements
- PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides.
- Current BLS certification.

- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with Physical Therapy principles and practices.
- Contribute to the further development of the services.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the system within different facilities.
