About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide care to its diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The role is primarily responsible for direct patient care and for planning and implementing individualized treatment programs according to the principles and practices of physical therapy within the PAM Health System. The PTA works under the direction of a Physical Therapist and also contributes to further development of the services. The role requires flexibility to meet system needs across different facilities. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcomed, as is a commitment and desire to learn.

Requirements

PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
Current BLS certification.
One year of clinical experience is preferred.
Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Plan and implement treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices and PAM Health System requirements.
Contribute to the further development of physical therapy services.
Be flexible in meeting the needs of the system across different facilities.
