About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide care for a diverse patient population in an LTACH setting. The role focuses on chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The PTA provides direct patient care and plans and implements treatment programs for individual patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist, following Physical Therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health System. The role also contributes to further development of services and requires flexibility to meet system needs across different facilities. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, though candidates with a commitment to learn are also considered.

Requirements

PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
Current BLS certification.
Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Nice To Haves

One year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to Physical Therapy principles and practices in the PAM Health System.
Contribute to the further development of services.
Remain flexible to meet system needs across different facilities.
