About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide care for a diverse patient population at Thousand Oaks Rehab, a new hospital scheduled to open in early 2026. The role focuses on caring for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Prior inpatient hospital experience is desirable, but a commitment and willingness to learn are also welcomed. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA provides direct patient care and plans and implements treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy in the PAM Health System. The PTA may also contribute to further development of services and must be flexible to meet system needs across different facilities.
Requirements
- A PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Plan and implement treatment programs for individual patients according to Physical Therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health System.
- Contribute to the further development of services.
- Be flexible in meeting system needs across different facilities.
