About The Position

Concept Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Johnston, Iowa. This PRN opportunity offers the flexibility to build your schedule while making a meaningful impact in post-acute rehabilitation. You'll work alongside experienced Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, physicians, and caregivers to help older adults regain mobility, independence, and confidence.

Requirements

Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice (or eligible for licensure).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Passion for helping older adults maximize mobility, safety, and independence.

Responsibilities

Deliver physical therapy treatments established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress with the Physical Therapist.
Assist patients in improving mobility, balance, gait, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
Accurately document treatments, patient progress, and daily billing.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated patient care.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise and maintenance programs.
Participate in care planning and discharge planning as appropriate.
Maintain compliance with all state licensure requirements and Concept Rehab policies.
