About The Position

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) supports MultiCare Lab Services. The role is responsible for patient registration and order entry, phlebotomy, and specimen processing. Depending on the location, the PSR may also pick up specimens in offices, sort and deliver reports, deliver supplies, and perform other tasks related to the location’s operations.

The position is on call and scheduled for day shifts at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. MultiCare describes Tacoma General as a 367-bed regional medical center with a 24-hour Emergency Department, Level II Adult Trauma Center, and advanced cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, and robotic surgery services.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant-Certified, Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy Certification, or eligibility for Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification; eligible employees must complete the training and submit an application within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a phlebotomy course or training.

Responsibilities
