Pharmacy Technician - Phone Support (Outbound)
About The Position
Onco360, a closed-door specialty pharmacy, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for its outbound phone support team. This is a full-time remote opportunity after an onsite training period at the specialty pharmacy in Waltham, Massachusetts. The role serves as a primary phone contact for patients and physicians and supports medication refill coordination and pharmacy-related questions. The starting salary is $23.00 per hour and up, with a $3.00-per-hour shift differential for weekend schedules. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to employees who start before December 28, 2026. The company also offers quarterly incentive bonuses and a $500 bonus for technicians who obtain CPhT and/or CPhT-ADV credentials. Requirements
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand and generic medication names, and general pharmacy terminology.
- Ability to input information accurately and efficiently.
- Licensed or registered pharmacy technician, as required by state law.
- Basic math and analytical skills.
- Intermediate typing and keyboarding skills.
- High school education or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician license or certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist health care providers and patients by phone, answering questions and requests.
- Communicate with patients and physician office staff to coordinate medication refill deliveries.
- Work with insurance companies regarding rejected claims and prior authorizations.
- Serve as a primary contact for calls to patients and physicians.
