About The Position

Lincoln Electric is seeking a Phone Service Technician for Vanair’s Service team in Michigan City, Indiana. The technician provides customers with phone-based technical support for the Vanair product line, records service cases and troubleshooting steps in a computer system, and coordinates with the Warranty Administrator when warranty parts are needed to keep repairs on schedule. The role also requires willingness to cross-train in the in-house repair and reconditioning of Vanair products.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Be self-starting, organized, and punctual.
• Have experience with MS Office.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Be able to work in a high-stress environment, work as part of a team, and interface with other departments.
• Be able to work safely without supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Trade school training in mechanical, electrical, or automotive fields.
• At least one year of personal or professional mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Electrical aptitude related to 12V and 120V machinery and mechanical devices.
• Previous phone support experience.
• Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical product phone support to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of service cases and troubleshooting steps by entering them into the computer.
• Work with the Warranty Administrator when warranty parts are needed to ensure repairs stay on schedule.
• Be willing to cross-train in repairing and reconditioning Vanair products in-house.
