Pharmacy Technician - Phone Support (Inbound)
About The Position
Onco360, a closed-door specialty pharmacy, is seeking compassionate, customer-service-focused pharmacy technicians for its Inbound Phone Support team. This full-time role assists patients and health care providers by phone, helps coordinate medication refill deliveries, and handles insurance-related issues. The specialty pharmacy is located in Waltham, Massachusetts. The position is remote after an onsite training period. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour and up, with a $3.00-per-hour shift differential for weekend schedules. Employees starting before December 28, 2026, are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The company also offers quarterly incentive bonuses and a $500 bonus for technicians who obtain CPhT and/or CPhT-ADV credentials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Registered pharmacy technician license or registration, as required by state law.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand and generic medication names, and general pharmacy terminology.
- Ability to input information accurately and efficiently.
- Basic math and analytical skills.
- Intermediate typing and keyboarding skills.
- Confidence speaking with patients and providers by phone.
Responsibilities
- Assist health care providers and patients by phone, answering questions and requests.
- Communicate with patients and physician office staff to coordinate medication refill deliveries.
- Work with insurance companies regarding rejected claims and prior authorizations.
- Serve as a primary contact for calls to patients and physicians.
