About The Position

The Pharmacy Grad Intern supports Walmart’s pharmacy team in providing customer care and safe pharmacy operations in a community pharmacy setting. The role offers hands-on experience supporting customer health and wellness, patient care, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The intern helps process prescription and over-the-counter orders, assists patients in navigating clinical therapies, and supports pharmacy inventory and merchandise operations.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementation of best practices.
• Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be capable of catering to individual patient needs.
• Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
