About The Position
As a Pharmacy Grad Intern at Walmart, you will gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy while supporting customer health and well-being. You will help provide patient care, assist customers with prescriptions and over-the-counter purchases, and contribute to pharmacy operations. The pharmacy team emphasizes customer care, safety, clinical care, and compliance with legal and company policies. The role also involves protecting confidential information, handling and stocking merchandise and supplies, and maintaining pharmacy inventory and the pharmacy area. Requirements
- Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
- Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
- Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
- Be capable of addressing individual patient needs.
- Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree.
- Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
- Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
- Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
