About The Position

The Pharmacy Grad Intern supports Walmart pharmacy operations and helps provide customer care and safe, compliant pharmacy services. The role offers hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting, including helping customers navigate clinical therapies, processing prescriptions and over-the-counter purchases, and maintaining pharmacy inventory and supplies. The intern must protect confidential information and follow applicable company, local, state, federal, HIPAA, and PHI requirements. The position is intended for someone enrolled in the final year of an accredited pharmacy school.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Address individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
