About The Position
The Pharmacy Grad Intern supports Walmart pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role helps promote customer health and wellness, advocates for patient well-being, and supports the pharmacy team’s focus on customer care, clinical care, safety, and compliance with legal and company policies. The position includes handling prescription and over-the-counter orders, assisting patients with clinical therapies, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting inventory and pharmacy-area upkeep.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
- Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementation of best practices.
- Build effective relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
- Address individual patient needs.
- Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

- Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with Company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
- Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
- Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
