About The Position

Wesley Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to perform technical functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. The role provides inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical services, including compounding and dispensing medications and supplies, intravenous admixtures, and narcotics. The intern also audits supplies on nursing units and handles charge reconciliation of patient billing documents. The intern may assist with drug consultations for patients, physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel.

Requirements

• Be a licensed intern with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Be currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate from, an accredited School of Pharmacy.

• Previous experience in hospital pharmacy is desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical services, including compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical supplies, intravenous admixtures, and narcotics.
