About The Position
The Enrolled Pharmacist Intern assists the Pharmacist in preparing, dispensing, distributing, and controlling medications throughout the facility. All duties must be performed in accordance with applicable state and federal laws, regulatory agency standards, professional practice standards, and the health system and pharmacy department’s policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Pharmacist Intern license with the Florida Department of Health.
- Data-entry skills and knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- One year of recent inpatient hospital or retail experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist in the preparation of medications.
- Assist the Pharmacist in dispensing and distributing medications throughout the facility.
- Assist the Pharmacist in controlling medications throughout the facility.
- Perform job duties in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policies.
