About The Position
The Enrolled Pharmacist Intern assists the Pharmacist in preparing, dispensing, distributing, and controlling medications throughout the facility. All duties must be performed in accordance with applicable state and federal laws, regulatory agency standards, professional practice standards, and health system and pharmacy department policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Pharmacist Intern license with the Florida Department of Health.
- Data entry skills and knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- One year of recent inpatient hospital or retail experience as a pharmacy technician.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation of medications.
- Assist the Pharmacist with the dispensing and distribution of medications.
- Assist the Pharmacist with the control of medications throughout the facility.
- Perform duties in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policies.
