About The Position

The PRN Pharmacist provides as-needed coverage across South Bend Clinic retail pharmacy locations, including two currently operating sites and the Notre Dame location upon opening. The role supports a patient-centered, clinic-based retail pharmacy model and collaborates with providers and clinic staff to enhance patient care and medication access.

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license in Indiana, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Immunization certification, or willingness to obtain it before starting.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a flexible, PRN capacity.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Counsel patients on medication use, adherence, and cost-effective options.
• Administer immunizations in accordance with state regulations and clinic protocols.
• Review prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, and clinical accuracy.
• Communicate with providers and clinic staff to resolve medication-related issues.
• Support medication access and affordability initiatives, including insurance and prior authorization coordination as needed.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
• Adapt to workflow needs across multiple clinic-based retail pharmacy locations.
