About The Position
The Pharmacy Intern performs all activities of a Pharmacy Technician, including IV admixture preparation and duties associated with automated cabinets, along with other duties assigned by the pharmacy management team. The intern must work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Medical City Fort Worth is a 350+ bed full-service, Magnet Designated hospital in the medical district. It serves as a tertiary referral center for Tarrant County and surrounding counties, offering diagnostic and treatment services in specialties including cardiac care, neurosciences, oncology, surgical services, orthopedics, kidney transplants, and emergency care. The hospital has three ER locations and is a designated comprehensive stroke center and Joint Commission chest pain center. It is part of the Medical City network of hospitals.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician license or Texas Pharmacist Intern license, as applicable.
- Pharmacy Practice Residency (PGY1) graduates of 2029 or 2030 only.
Responsibilities
- Perform all activities of a Pharmacy Technician, including IV admixture preparation.
- Perform duties associated with automated cabinets.
- Complete other duties assigned by the pharmacy management team.
- Work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
