Evening Warwick Pet Care Professional (Pet Sitting & Dog Walking)
About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is seeking experienced Pet Care Professionals for evening pet sitting and dog walking roles in Warwick, RI. This is a long-term, part-time position for individuals who are reliable, passionate about exceptional pet care, and comfortable with various animal types and sizes. The ideal candidate has prior professional animal care experience, reliable transportation, a smartphone, and strong independent work and communication skills. Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC has been in business since 2006, offering dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight pet sitting services, and has been recognized as a top pet service company for nine consecutive years. They are committed to the highest level of professionalism and quality care for pets and their families.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Prior professional animal care experience.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Smartphone with reliable internet access.
- Daily access to email and the internet.
- Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, and visit documentation.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors walking dogs year-round in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Consistent evening availability Monday through Friday between the hours of 5-9pm, 6-9pm, or 7-9pm.
- Must be able to work at least 10+ hours per week.
Nice To Haves
- Additional weekday/weekend availability is a plus and may provide opportunities for more hours.
- Vet techs, dog trainers, pre-vet students, dog groomers, kennel workers, doggie daycare workers, animal shelter volunteers / animal rescue workers and other animal care techs are all encouraged to apply.
- Experience with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, as well as cats and other small animals.
- Ability to work well independently.
- Seeking a long-term part-time position.
Responsibilities
- Perform dog walking, exercising dogs, and letting them out for bathroom breaks.
- Provide pet sitting services including feeding, administering medications, cat care, small animal care, and litter box cleaning.
- Offer love and attention to pets while clients are away or occupied.
- Travel frequently between clients' homes to care for their companions.
- Follow detailed care instructions provided by clients and within the client management system.
- Leave notes for clients after each visit detailing how the visits went.
